Mr. Festus Gontebanye Mogae is the Chairman of the Choppies Group. He was the President of Botswana from 1998-2008. He studied economics at the Univerity of Oxford and graduated from the Univerisity of Sussex. He is highly respected as an economist and as a policy formulator internationally. He has held and is currently holding key positions in various organizations such as the Intrnational Monetary Fund (IMF), African Development Bank (ADB) an De BeersMining Company. He has also served on various parastatal boards. In 2003, the former President was awarded the highest honour of the Republic of Botswana, Naledi Ya Botswana. In 2008, he won the Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievements in African Leadership. He was appointed as The Chairman of the Choppies Group board in October 2008.
