Mr. Festus Gontebanye Mogae
is the Chairman of the Choppies Group. He was the President of Botswana from 1998-2008. He studied economics at the Univerity of Oxford and graduated from the Univerisity of Sussex. He is highly respected as an economist and as a policy formulator internationally. He has held and is currently holding key positions in various organizations such as the Intrnational Monetary Fund (IMF), African Development Bank (ADB) an De BeersMining Company. He has also served on various parastatal boards. In 2003, the former President was awarded the highest honour of the Republic of Botswana, Naledi Ya Botswana. In 2008, he won the Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievements in African Leadership. He was appointed as The Chairman of the Choppies Group board in October 2008.


Mr. Farouk Ismail is the Deputy Chairman of the Choppies Group. He is the founder of the Ismail Group of companies. He is the founder shareholder of the group. A visionary, he introduced the brain force of Ramachandran Ottapathu into shareholding in 1992 which proved to be the effective step in this glorious journey.


Mr. Ramachandran Ottapathu is the Chief Executive Officer of the Choppies Group. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr. Ottapathu graduated in Commerce from the University of Calicut, India. He is a member of the Botswana Institute of Accountants. He joined Choppies group in 1992 and has ever since provided visionary leadership as its Chief Executive Officer.
